Craig Mosier, DMSc, MPA, PA-C
Craig Mosier is a NCCPA board-certified Physician Associate who has been practicing since 1992. He holds state licenses in California, and Nevada specializing in Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, and Occupational Medicine. In addition to his medical work, he also functions as a freelance OSHA 30 certified Health and Safety professional for motion picture productions in Los Angeles and the hospitality industry in Las Vegas. He is also a certified US DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Medical Examiner. A native of Iowa, Craig began his career as a firefighter paramedic at the age of 21 in Davenport. He relocated to Los Angeles working as a paramedic in 1986, and to further his medical education at the Keck USC School of Medicine PA Program. After graduation, he worked in Los Angeles in Trauma Surgery for 19 years. He moved to Las Vegas in 2005 where he joined the Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Service at Sunrise Medical Center and remained on staff until 2009 at which time the program was discontinued. He then joined the Orthopedic surgical staff at the Las Vegas VA Medical Center, where he remained until 2022. During the pandemic, he was recruited to work as a Health and Safety Director for Netflix movie productions. His film credits include “Day Shift” (Jamie Foxx/Snoop Dogg), “Me Time” (Kevin Hart/Mark Wahlberg), and “Atlas” (Jennifer Lopez), where he interacted weekly with the primary talent. In 2024 he was hired as Health & Safety Supervisor for the production of "Lucky 13" on ABC in Las Vegas. In addition to his civilian work, Craig served as a medical officer, in the United States Army and Army Reserve for 23 years, retiring at the rank of Colonel in 2019 after multiple deployments and command assignments. While in the Army, Craig earned his flight wings as an aviation-rated medical officer serving as a Battalion Flight Surgeon and functioned on Army Aviation Accident investigation boards. Craig is a graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa where he received his Bachelor of Science degree, and the Keck USC School of Medicine PA Program in Los Angeles, where he received his general medical education. He pursued additional studies in Orthopedic Trauma and Sports Medicine, graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Master’s Physician Assistant Studies, and was awarded his Doctor of Medical Science Degree in Occupational Health from the University of Lynchburg. His military education includes the Army Flight Surgeons course and the US Army Command and General Staff College. He is also a graduate of the California Fire Motion Picture/TV Set Fire Safety Officer course. He has published articles regarding the management of open fractures and tibial plateau injuries in 2006 and 2023, and recently completed a book manuscript about the impact of the pandemic on the motion picture and entertainment industry. Craig calls Las Vegas home when he is not on location for entertainment and motion picture productions.
